 Sophia Loren rose from post-war italian poverty to become one of the world most successful and respected actresses. She left home at 15 with dreams of becoming a movie star, and was discovered by the legendary Cecil B. DeMille doing bit parts. After her discovery she quickly rose through the Hollywood ranks, and became a huge success not only in America but in Europe as well. She has worked with Paul Newman, Charlie Chaplin, Cary Grant and other Hollywood heavy weights. Sophia is still alive and acting, but also spends a good deal of her time watching soccer, her favorite sport.
